Today is Friday! I have been dealing with a sick dog for several weeks. It started with an infection in her paw and now she's having a reaction to the antibiotic she was on. We are currently on a steroid to calm her GI track. Poor pup! Say some prayers for us. I need to rest and sleep. Cookie needs to heal and be her normal hyper self.
I think a lot on Fridays since it's the end of the work week and going into time to myself and family. I think we should all have big dreams. Dreams that seem outlandish. Dreams that feel impossible. Dreams that seem simple. Dreams that feel possible.
I'm trying really hard to keep my thoughts positive even when unexpected, bad things seem to occur. Everyone deals with it and there are some things when they are bad, we shrug it off and move along. We should try to do that more often. The more positive we are, even in unknown outcomes, the better the outcome. It's a science at this point. When we think the worse, our body feels the stress and uncertainty. When we expect positive from a negative outcome, our bodies are more relaxed and happier. I think this becomes a huge driver of why the outcome improves no matter what.
So, I know that Cookie is suffering right now, but I also know she realizes how much I'm helping her and love her. Her siblings (3 humans and 1 other dog) love her and look out for her. She's going to come through this and we'll all be well rested.
Imagination running wild doesn't have to be something that impresses everyone around you. It just has to be topics or goals that you make for yourself that you can work towards. Today I've decided that I'm going to attack the wallpaper that is throughout my first floor. I've lived in my current house for about 4 years now and it's my 3rd home as an adult. I don't enjoy home projects because they feel overwhelming. However, I've been staring at 90's wallpaper since I moved in and I don't want to do it anymore. I'm imagining the walls painted the colors I want and the appearance I know that this home is capable of.
The good thing with getting started on dreams and imagination, once you start, you start moving towards them. Then the dreams and imagination keep moving and changing because you're accomplishing little things to get you where you want to be. One phrase I've used for many years now, is 'it takes baby steps.' Life is made up of little choices and when you take one baby step, you slowly starting living the life you want.
Go imagine and then take action....I'm looking forward to hearing your comments!
